PWR was founded in 2002 by the following group of influential of women. They all remain involved in PWR by providing their support and guidance on the Advisory Council.
Janine Furia is currently Director of Asset Management at Essential Properties Realty Trust. LLC located in Princeton NJ. She is responsible for the disposition and management of commercial real estate properties located throughout the United States. The real estate portfolio includes over $350 million in various quick service restaurants, convenience stores, retail chains and emergency care facilities. Prior to her current position, Janine worked in the banking industry as a commercial lender and credit analyst. She co-founded Professional Women’s Roundtable over 15 years ago with the hope of creating an organization whereby women can truly network and be engaged with one another, while simultaneously meeting friends, developong leadership qualities, and creating long lasting relationships both personally and professionally. Janine has also owned her own business, a boutique in Philadelphia, and a non profit company that helped local artists and designers start their own business and achieve their professional and financial goals.
Nicole D. Galli
Nicole D. Galli is the managing partner of the Law Offices of N.D. Galli LLC in Philadelphia, which she founded after having spent over two decades in two AmLaw 100 firms, an intellectual property boutique firm, and a full-service regional firm. She focuses her practice on commercial litigation, including all forms of intellectual property (IP) litigation, as well as IP counseling especially in the trade secrets area. In addition to serving as Chair of the Advisory Board of PWR, Nicole recently founded and is the President of Women Owned Law, a national networking group for women entrepreneurs in the law. A member of the Forum of Executive Women, Ms. Galli serves on the Forum Award for Emerging Women Leaders and Program Committees. Ms. Galli is also a member of the American Bar Association, where she is the CLE Officer of the Section of Intellectual Property Law and the Section’s Liaison to the Licensing Executives Society’s standards setting project for IP Management. Nicole lives in Center City Philadelphia with her husband and two children.
Susan Baren-Pearson is the former Associate Marketing Director for America's Pharmaceuticals and Chemicals for IBM, and has over 12 years of private sector and non-profit experience in marketing communications and publishing. Susan has built her successful marketing career through building alliances among diverse constituencies and program/business development. In addition to PWR, Susan has served several non-profit entities, and is both an advisory and founding member of the Young Women’s Initiative and previously a Campaign co-chair for Women’s Way.
